The AI agent
Not a chatbot next to your tool — an agent inside it. It works on your model with the same tools you use, and everything it does lands in the audit log.
Frontier or open-weight, top tier or low cost — through OpenRouter or OpenAI with your own key. No lock-in to one vendor. And you set the effort: a quick pass for a small edit, deep reasoning for a whole study.
Hand over a bill of materials. The agent researches missing figures on the web, grades its sources, reconciles them — and names the gaps it could not close.

MCP server built in
PrismLCA speaks the Model Context Protocol. External agents get the same tools as the built-in assistant — and every change still lands in the audit log, undoable. And it runs on the subscription you already have.
One click in Settings writes the configuration and tests the connection.
A complete LCA tool
Not a black box: the agent models in a full LCA workbench on the Brightway 2.5 engine, in plain sight. Step in at any point, change what it built, hand it back. Or switch it off and model alone.
Background data
PrismLCA comes without a background database, but bringing one in takes a few clicks. Have an ecoinvent licence? Import it from your own files (BYOL) or start with the free Swiss Federal Administration LCI Database (BAFU:2026). Both can live in the same workspace.
You stay in charge
Everything the agent does is written down, reversible and checked — and it works on your computer, not in someone's cloud.

Every change can be taken back — a whole agent turn at once if you like.
Before linking, the agent reads the dataset's own documentation — and catches proxies built for something else.
